I'm looking forward to attending 4 Central & South America TB meetups in the next 2 months.
I hope to share myself & my passion for globetrotting with fun-loving, enthusiastic people who have "joie de vivre." Born in Waterloo, Iowa, I'm a happy wanderer who lives in both Wichita & Overland Park, Kansas with Dorothy, Toto & tornados (The Wizard of Oz). I help a KC area church with contemporary worship, college students & world church construction. I'm also a former professional musician, play several instruments & often travel with my guitar. A comedy troupe, The Firesign Theatre, had an album title that sums up my philosophy: “I think we’re all bozos on this bus.” Growing older, I realize more than ever: 1. Life is short 2. Each of us is a bozo on this bus called life 3. Do something worthwhile & enjoy the ride! I've decided to rotate photos from TB meetups. The group image, taken by Eric (yekcoh), is from our June 2008 Kansas City bash co-hosted by James (pearcetoyou) & I. The other is with Ruby (2win) & Devi (Devika1985) from the 1st Amsterdam Party in January 2008. I included a shot taken in Bolivia where I helped build a Christian church in El Alto, a poverty-stricken town near La Paz. I'm 5'11", but I felt 7 foot tall standing next to my Bolivian amigos. I also posted a picture of Idaly, my Bogotá pal, taken in Colombia's beautiful Rosario Islands. Finally, I added a pic of Rendezvous Caye in Belize. Rendezvous Caye is an amazing tropical isle where you can snorkel the world's second largest barrier reef. This snapshot always brings a smile to my face :-) I wish you many memorable adventures exploring our big, beautiful world & success in everything you do! As the Irish say, "May the road rise to meet you & may the wind be always at your back." I once read that "being friends is a great place to start a relationship." I'd love the opportunity to get to know you, discover your travel interests & make a friend :-D

I was fortunate to attend the marvelous Minneapolis weekend. Thursday, we dined at Hard Rock Cafe on Block E, then strolled over to the Shout House Rock 'n Roll Dueling Piano Bar. Friday, we met at Brit's & pretended we were dining in enchanting England. Saturday morn, we brunched at Wilde Roast Café before getting the grand tour of the Mississippi riverfront, Sculpture Garden & Lake Calhoun. We wrapped up the wild & wonderful shindig at Chino Latino. All I can say is YA, YOU BETCHA! UFF-DA!

Kansas City, Missouri, USA -› -› ...
James (pearcetoyou) & I co-hosted a sensational summer extravaganza in Kansas City. The fun began with a Thursday Welcome Dinner for Yadi (yadilitta - Lima, Peru) in Westport. The shenanigans continued with a Friday Pre-Party in the Power & Light District, a Saturday morning/afternoon Sightseeing Tour & a Saturday TravBuddy Meetup in the Country Club Plaza & a triumphant return to the Power & Light District. Like the old song goes, "We had some crazy little TravBuddies there..."
